Open Farm Positions.

On-site Farm Agronomist. [N200K/Month]

We need an experienced, qualified farm agronomist with deep experience in raising, transplanting and growing beautiful and healthy sweet peppers and Habaneros in our nursery, greenhouses, shadenets and open-field facilities. The ideal agronomist candidate MUST have a degree in an agriculture or related field, and at least 5 years experience of panting sweet peppers and habaneros in a farm operational role. The farm agronomist will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the growing facilities, leading a team of five farm workers to carry out all the needed activities in the farm, including planting, harvesting, and managing farm staff. The farm agronomist will also be responsible for developing and implementing a robust feeding and spraying program with the associated policies and procedures, ensuring that the farm produce are of the best grades.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing farm activities, including seeding, transplanting, maintenance, harvesting, and fertigation.
  • Manage the farm worker team activites, including teaching, training, and supervising farm workers to carry out the scheduled activities on-time and correctly.
  • Developing and implementing farm farm feeding and spraying program, policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that the farm is run in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
  • Monitoring and evaluating farm yield performance, and making recommendations for improvement in produce quality and yield.
  • The ideal candidate is over 25 years old and must have the ability to communicate efficiently on WhatsApp.
  • It is expected that the farm agronomist will live on farm premises, and be available to work 2 saturdays in a month (no sundays) and public holidays. Daily working hours are 8am to 6pm, with a one-hour break for lunch. The farm agronomist will report directly to the general manager and interact daily on WhatsApp to relate ongoing activities, and will be required to submit weekly reports on farm activities and performance.

    We need an experienced farm manager to oversee our farm operations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in agriculture or related field, and at least 5 years experience in a similar role. The farm manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the farm, including planting, harvesting, and managing farm staff. The farm manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing farm policies and procedures, and ensuring that the farm is run in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.

    Main responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing farm activities, including planting, harvesting, and irrigation.
  • Managing farm staff, including hiring interviews, training, and supervising farm workers and premises.
  • Implementing farm policies and procedures that are laid down.
  • Ensuring that the farm is run in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
  • Monitoring and evaluating farm performance, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • The ideal candidate is over 25 years old and have the ability to communicate efficiently on WhatsApp.
  • It is expected that the farm manager will live on farm premises, and be available to work at least 2 saturdays monthly (no sundays) and public holidays.     On-site Farm Workers. [50K/Month]

    We need an experienced farm workers that will be responsible for performing daily farm activities both within our growing facilities and the surrounding environment. The farm worker will work under the supervision of the farm manager everyday and engage in needed activities. The ideal candidate have at least 1 years experience in a similar role or ready to learn and take instructions well. Training in specialised farm activities will be provided to the farm worker.

    Main farm worker's responsibilities include:

  • Performing farm activities, including weeding, spraying insecticides anf fungicides, planting, harvesting, and irrigation.
  • Attend all training activities organised and provided by the farm management.
  • Implementing farm activities that keep the farm environment clean and habitable.
  • The ideal candidate is over 20 years old and optionally has the ability to communicate efficiently on WhatsApp.
  • It is expected that the farm worker will live on farm premises, and be available to work at least 2 saturdays monthly (no sundays) and public holidays. Daily working hours are 8am to 6pm, with a one-hour break for lunch. The farm worker will report directly to the farm manager and take/perform the assigned assignments well.
